Ministry Overview

Since 1979, Insight for Living Ministries (IFLM) has been committed to excellence in teaching the study and application of God’s Word. Pastor Chuck Swindoll and his wife, Cynthia, began the ministry by broadcasting Chuck’s Bible-teaching program, Insight for Living, on 18 stations. Today, the program airs on more than 2,000 stations, can be streamed through various online channels, and can be heard in 70 countries and eight languages.

We also produce quality Bible-study resources, have a dynamic online presence, provide pastoral counseling, and actively walk alongside listeners through life’s challenges. As a ministry, we’re committed to Vision 195, our strategic mission to pursue Jesus’ Great Commission by extending God’s grace and making disciples in all 195 countries and their 6,875 heart languages.

In addition to our international headquarters in Frisco, TX, we currently have ministry offices in 10 countries, where our pastors translate resources, train church leaders to use Chuck’s Searching the Scriptures Bible-study method, serve their communities, and pursue Vision 195 in their languages. Contractor Role Overview

The contract graphic designer (contractor) creates artwork and designs that visually captures the spirit of our biblical resources. The contractor will create graphic designs for books, CD covers and labels, promotional materials, and other ministry collateral as needed. While working primarily within print design, the contractor will also repurpose designs for web use. The contract graphic designer role is performed remotely except for minimal required in-person meetings and office work.

Core Functions
  • Conceptualizes art ideas in concept meetings
  • Designs the cover and title treatments for books and CDs
  • Determines design parameters for printed materials
  • Produces and repurposes art for website and social media
  • Uses photoshop to create product concepts for future books or CDs
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure designs meet IFLM standards
  • Captures product photos for web and social media platforms, as well as photos for IFLM events

Experience and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite, primarily InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Experience creating art for print and repurposing for web
  • Experience conceptualizing, creating, and developing artwork and designs
  • Ability to create art for social media posts a plus
  • Photography experience a plus
*This contractor position will consist of 20 hours per week and will be on-site on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
